Gallery Project presents Miss October, a multi-media exhibition featuring five, dynamic, female artists including Kristin Beaver, Nicola Kuperus, Cristin Richard, Mona Shahid, and Claudia Shephard. The exhibit runs from Wednesday, October 25 through Sunday, December 3. The opening reception is Friday October 27, 6-9.
“Miss October” brings together an eclectic group of women with similar threads of content touching on figurative narration through the use of fashion, posturing, and dark humor. Each artist has embraced her media with confident execution, spotlighting human interaction in innovative ways.
“Miss October” is curated by Kristin Beaver, a Detroit artist and former collaborator of Gallery Project.
Gallery Project is a fine art collaborative. Its mission is to provide a venue for contemporary art that is culturally aware, individualistic, courageous, and thought provoking. Artists representing a diverse range of visual arts curate and participate in its nine annual themed exhibits.
